Weathering the storm was only the beginning of the Halliar wedding at Sandy Pines Country Club’s “The Pavilion” in DeMotte, Indiana with a photo booth and disc jockey.
The photo booth, disc jockey, and “The Pavilion” weathered the storm that was supposed to have “70 MPH winds” before the wedding. Many of the guests didn’t know about the one inch of water that was flooding the back 1/3 of the Pavilion as many workers, wedding vendors, and guests came together to remove all the water before putting everything back together for a wonderful (dry) reception.
The introductions were high-energy with couples showing off their dance moves. The storm influenced the wedding toasts and the groom even took the time while thanking guests to say how he has been “weathering the storm.” The guests didn’t have to weather any storm due to the weather breaking just before the reception.
Dancing opened up after the 1st dances with an anniversary dance determining the longest married couple and the disc jockey congratulated them on their 49 years of marriage. In addition to the garter and bouquet toss, there was a dollar dance, a sweetheart dance, and a call to the world where people called friends and family on their cell phones to let them know how much fun they were having at the wedding.
The dance floor and photo booth line were one in the same. Everyone was dancing around, using props everywhere, and jumping in and out of the photo booth. The red backdrop of the photo booth made for a great background for the guests outfits. The disc jockey did a great job with all kinds of music, especially some country classics like “Rocky Top,” Mountain Music,” and a new one “Red Solo Cup.”
