Team Hope’s 7th Annual Party for a Cure | Center for Visual and Performing Arts | Uplighting
Team Hope’s 7th Annual Party for a Cure was hosted at the beautiful Center for Visual and Performing Arts with pink uplighting. Guests never got a chance to relax as the night was full of dancing, photos, silent auctions, raffles, signature drinks, and more.
Crimson Cleavage, Double “D”, Purple Nurple were the signature shots of the evening while the Tata Tini, Breast Exam, and Mom’s Mammogram were the signature drinks.
Sports, health & beauty, food & entertainment, and a few other categories rounded out the silent auctions. Helping people help people, a local non-profit organization helped with many of the silent auction sports memorabilia items to include a Chicago Bears Super Bowl ring and many autographed pictures, bats, football helmets, cards, and more. Another unique item was a foosball table donated by The Great Escape.
Other than the silent auction items, the big-ticket items up for raffle were 4 tickets to the Chicago Cubs Vs Cincinnati Reds on May 4th, A 7 night 6 day stay in Kissimmee, Florida just minutes away from Disney World, and 4 tickets to the Chicago Blackhawks Vs the San Jose Sharks on Friday February 22nd.
Mae Hoskins set up a photo backdrop for guests to take pictures with the Team Hope banner and some funky pink themed props. 219 Productions provided the pink uplighting, the pink lighted ribbon, along with the disc jockey and light jockey for the evening. A Pulled pork and sliders bar, antipasto bar, and a taco bar early and a dessert bar later in the evening gave the guests something to munch on.
“Donate your dollars and make your man holler” was the theme of some dancing when women were able to put their man in a decorated bra for some pictures. Bottles of wine were randomly awarded to people during the “cork pull” when people paid $5 to pull a numbered cork out that corresponded to a bottle of wine.
Chinese auctions included many baskets full of multiple items and gift certificates. Guests placed raffle tickets in a bag in front of the item and winners were picked at random later in the evening. Pink uplighting surrounded the auction tables and the ice sculpture which was provided by the Center for Visual and Performing Arts.
Team Hope is going to walk June 1st and 2nd in the Chicago Avon Walk for Breast Cancer – http://www.avonwalk.org/chicago/
