Sandy with a bit of Beach | The Allure | Washington Park | Disc Jockey
The weather held out for a windy beach side wedding ceremony at Washington Park as Kelly and Robert were wedded. The beach themed washed into the reception hall with seashells, starfish, and sand everywhere at the Allure.
The starfish on the cake must have scarred Kelly and Rob as they forgot to share a bite of cake after they made their first cut. Allure’s manager and the disc jockey were a bit thrown by this, but remedied the problem in a timely fashion. Seashells for table place card holders and the spinning picture cubes really complimented the beach theme.
Rain was in the forecast early in the week, but the wedding ceremony was timed perfectly with a little sunshine and nice warm breeze from the south.
Late in the night some unique requests came in which were a wave to catch. Songs like “safety dance by” by Men Without Hats, “straight up” by Paula Abdul, and “self esteem” by the Offspring kept everyone dancing and singing along in the final hour.
