The day was full of hope, love, and ice cream jokes at Julie and Jared’s wedding ceremony and reception at Lighthouse Restaurant in Cedar Lake, Indiana. With teal uplighting, delicious food, photo booth and DJ Service, the day and night was a festival of fun and affection.
An elegant and sweet ceremony was held outside in the gazebo of Lighthouse restaurant. Julie and Jared tied the knot while Jared’s father officiated the union. He gave advice on life and love, and made sure to mention the importance of eating ice cream with one another
After the ceremony, cocktail hour was enjoyed outside as guests snacked on finger foods and drinks. Next guests retired upstairs to enjoy hilarious grand entrances, as the DJ announced the wedding party with clever jokes. The bride presented her new husband with a custom made Thor’s hammer cake, causing “ooohs” and “ahhs” all around. Dinner was served and a blessing was made over the food. The plated spread included salad, fillet, chicken, potatoes and asparagus. A simple cake was cut by Julie and Jared. Toasts by the best man and maid of honor left the crowd giggling and teary eyed.
The hall was decorated in cyan uplighting and a photo booth sat ready to snap memories in the corner, complete with funny props and a custom designed 3 photo strip.
A memory book captured all the messages left from guests. A dessert table featuring all kinds of tarts and sweets was a treat, and guests received macaroons in a thank-you-box to take home. After the first dance was complete, mother-son and father-daughter dances took place. Then the DJ opened the floor to the whole party, where dance offs, slides, and a touching anniversary dance congratulated a couple on over 50 years of marriage. The couple gave advice on a happy life to Julie and Jared and the rest of the evening was spent getting down on the dance floor and snapping photos in the photo booth.
